Humble Beginnings

Evans began servicing Springfield, IL in 1970 as a two-person retail dry cleaning business, eventually expanding to include retail carpet, upholstery and drapery cleaning. In the mid 70s, Evans added restoration for smoke and soot-damaged textiles. Evans then expanded its services to include on-location restoration of structure and contents. Additionally, Evans leased one of many warehouses and began to pack out, clean and store customer contents. Insurance companies began to recognize Evans Restoration Services as the logical solution to the ever-increasing cost of replacement.

After quickly gaining an excellent reputation, while expanding with new cleaning systems and equipment, Evans was on its way to being the most technologically advanced restoration facility in Central Illinois.
